Battery Reconditioning

I have asked this question before. But does not satisfied me. I need to know the above laptops battery life. When i checked the dell website, according to them the xps 15 of 6cell battery gives 5hours and a 9cell battery gives 8hours. Is it is really gives such a battery life or is the company is giving it as fake for marketing?

the numbers given are just a guess it depends what you are doing on the computer how long they will last. if you are burning a dvd and on the internet no time at all…

I got my mac about 6 months ago and already it only lasts about 3 hours on full battery. Is there any way I can increase my battery life with out having to buy a new battery? Thank youu!

Decrease screen brightness, and have the HDD spin down when possible. ( I don’t know if you can spin down a HDD on a Mac, it is possible on Linux, which is almost like a Mac.) Close unused programs, and background programs, close widgets if you are not using them. When not using it put it into suspend mode or hibernate.

I just bought a new laptop which has a battery backup of around 3.5 hours. I know from my previous experience that this backup time will decrease with time. So are there any methods to prolong the battery life ?

Should I use the laptop on power-on all the time ? Or should I alternate between battery and power-on ? How much should I alternate ?
Should I discharge the battery completely once every month ?

I find it’s best to follow these steps…
1. Don’t charge your laptop while using it.
2. Let your Laptop die before charging it.
3. Avoid magnets and over use.

I’ve tried turning the brightness down, turning wifi and 3G off when it’s not in use, but the battery life on my iPhone 4 still decreases very quickly.Is there any other things that I could do to make sure that the battery life doesn’t run out so quickly? Thank you.

Lol always close the apps when your not using them…they drain your battery so quickly

Trying to decide between the 6 cell or the 9 cell? I want the most battery life I can get and the laptop will be on an i5 processor

All things held constant, the 9-cell battery will have superior battery life compared to the 6-cell.
