Alright so Ive had my Xbox for about a year and Ive been using the controller that came with it. I recently bought rechargeable batteries but when I put them into my controller they don’t work. The batteries are 100% charged and it works with regular batteries. I pressed the battery pack of the controller hard and it worked but the second i let go or decreased the pressure it turned off. Is my controler just old or am I doing something wrong?
I actually had the same problem, and I’ve found that it’s likely due to the small size difference between rechargeable batteries and regular batteries.
To fix this, I just tapped (not taped) my controller, holding the controller with the LB and RB buttons down, against the heel of my hand. As long as you don’t bump your controller around a lot, the batteries will stay in place and work fine.

My current batteries have been in the phone for over 4 years and now only last around 3 minutes which is inconvenient.
So i was wondering if any AA rechargeable batteries will work, the current batteries are: NiCD 700 mAh 12v if that helps.
Thanks
So are you saying that your phone has 8 individual Ni CD AA batteries or a batteries pack made up of 8 AA batteries connected together?

Mine only do so for about 30 minutes on a good day..
Are there any rechargeable batteries that hold the charge a good few hours?
Yes there are rechargeable batteries that last a few hours. My camera needs batteries to run it so I got some long lasting rechargeable ones and I went on holiday and used it all the time and they lasted for a few days.

They’re brilliant and not to expensive.

The batteries are "Energizer® Rechargeable NiMH AA" and the product is an old portable cd player. Will these kind of batteries work for ANY device that requires AA batteries, or does the device have to be a newer one that is built in such a way that it can handle rechargeable batteries?
So long as it can run off of old school NiCads, it can run off of NiMH fine.
Just don’t charge them with the built in charger, if it has one; always use a proper NiMh charger.
